 This Expressive Drawing course is a fantastic way to learn and develop your drawing. From drawing lions with coffee to drawing feathers using string the course will take you on a journey exploring different expressive drawing techniques. In each session your tutor will guide you in fun new drawing exercises using a variety of mediums. By the end of the course you will have gained some fantastic new ideas and skills to inspire you.

 Art journaling is art making and diary keeping all rolled up into one glorious form. It is a way to express your thoughts, dreams, experiences, memories and worries in a creative constructive way. There are no rules or restrictions. It allows you to use colour, texture and mixed media to experiment, reminisce OR JUST have a good old rant. 

This time we will be creating wintery journals in mixed media boxes.

  Create your own stories interlaced in between paper, fabric and thread. The tradition of weaving can be traced back to neolithic times and the methods haven’t changed a great deal over time.

In this class I will guide you through several ways of putting together mixed media weaves using paper, fabric, stitching, colour, imagery and words! Every weave turns out differently. You can create a themed piece for an occasion or use them as positive affirmations. They look great framed and make great gifts too

  Have you ever wanted to learn how to get started painting portraits? This course will take you step by step through some of the basics. You will get a chance to explore some different mediums and paint your very own self portrait on canvas.

   Contrary to what many people believe anyone can learn to draw and it is a fantastic way to relax and unwind. This course looks at the basic techniques to help get you started over 5 sessions. We will explore sketching, shading, perspective and proportions, alongside working in different mediums.

If you have always fancied learning to draw or if it is something you would like to get back into after a long break this course will take you back to the basics to get you started.
